The Hogan at Bright Star is a small authentic Navajo roundhouse built by the Navajo man who raised Mustangs on this 40 acres in the 1980's. It has been renovated and has a nice queen futon bed, linens, solar lights, chairs, a pump sink and a maintained private outhouse. In keeping with tradition, it has a dirt floor built into the Earth (covered in rugs) a central wood stove for heat, and we added a battery power bank for lights and charging devices as well as a bluetooth speaker, teapot, coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

"What a pleasant surprise this hostel was! The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal as far as utensils, plates, pans, and appliances. It is sparkling clean with stainless steel, which I thought was awesome."
Londa, July 2018

"Nothing but good things to say about Jen's place. Although it's 2020 and the world is upside down, staying at Camp Kush was a much needed emotional rest and was truely emotional healing. Would stay here with small groups, families or strangers it's just an awesome place where everyone are friends."
James, The Bottom, Caribbean Netherlands, May 2020

"Excellent hosts, excellent location, and overall great vibe. We "highly" recommend Camp Kush and we will be back."
John & Jacki, June 2018

"It was great! Hosts were warm and welcoming. The site had everything we needed -- hot, high-pressure showers and a communal kitchen with fresh eggs and all the supplies we needed to cook the food we brought. We met so many great people, too!
It was a relaxing and peaceful stay. We'd definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others."
Tami, Hipcamper, May 2019

"I stay here every chance I get! It's a great space with a bunch of different options for camping."
Candace, Mayer, AZ, May 2020
"Jen went beyond expectations to ensure a comfortable stay at Camp Kush Sunset/Sunrise. Both the hostel and campsite were spacious and clean and the views of the mountains on the horizon were amazing. I would gladly stay here again."
